ABOUT THE FARM
Our current producer the Asprasar co-op in South East Tolima. Asprasar was created in 2016 by about 100 men and women farmers, with the goal of increasing their quality of life through earning higher prices for their coffees.
Asprasar is committed to preserving the environment for future generations and has achieved an impressive number of certifications: organic, NOP, EU, Jas, FLO, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ, and Manos de Mujer.
Currently, the association has 91 members, with two quality control laboratories at different collection points to guarantee the quality of the coffee. It has two collection and trading points in the townships of Bilbao, Planadas and Herrera, De Rioblanco in order to provide a greater ease of coffee transport.
This lot was produced between 1,500 to 2,100 meters above sea level with rich soil that allows for the optimal production of coffee. It is made up of Caturra, Castillo varieties, and is certified Organic and Fair Trade. The coffee underwent 12 hours of fermentation and dried for 10 to 20 days depending on the farm.
